IntelliChess runs on any Palm OS 3.1 (or above) compatible devices, including
high-resolustion handhelds, such as Sony Clie.
To install the game, please follow step-by-step instruction below:
- Create a temporary folder on your hard disk drive (e.g., C:\My Documents\IntelliChess);
- Unzip game ZIP archive to that folder
- Start Palm Desktop application and click "Install" button
- When "Install Tool" window appears, click "Add" button, then browse to
the temporary folder that contains unzipped file and choose "iChess.prc"
- HotSync your handheld to complete the installation
IntelliChess saves the games in PGN format. PGN is "Portable Game Notation",
a standard representation of chess game data in ASCII text files. PGN files are the easiest way
to share your games between various chess programs.
- Game
- New - Start a new game
- Load - Load a game from the database
- Save - Save your game
- Pause - Pause game
- Actions
- Undo move - Undo the last move
- Move now - Make IntelliChess to move immediately
- Edit comment - Add a short comment to a move
- Show hint - Get a hint from IntelliChess
- Show captured - View a list of pieces captured so far
- Flip board - Flip the gaming board
- Resign - Resign the current game
- Offer draw - Offer draw
- Options
- Skins - Choose board colors and pieces style
- Full-screen board on/off - Switch between normal and full-screen board sizes
- Preferences - Adjust IntelliChess preferences
