Cryptos: Cryptogram Puzzles

— This read-me file updated August, 2003.

Welcome and thanks for downloading the evaluation version of Cryptos 2.0 The evaluation version limits access to the first 10 puzzles in the puzzle database.

There are over 1200 puzzles included in this download package.

Also included is CQ-Maker, a program that lets you create your own quotes packages.

To get started you will need to install 2 files on your Palm device.

1. Cryptos 2.01.prc (this is the application file.)

2. CryptosQuotes.pdb (choose one of the Quotes Packages supplied.)

Where do I get more puzzles?

Periodically, Iota Handworks releases new puzzle packs. When we do, we will post them to the Yahoo Newsgroup as well as add it to the distribution download at Handango.com.

Note:

You must understand that there can be ONLY ONE QUOTES FILE on your Palm device at a time. If you hotsync a new quotes file to your Palm it will over-write the existing file and you will loose all your solved and partially solved puzzles.

You should hotsync new quotes data base files to your Palm only when you have finished with the existing quotes file.

Bug fix for v1.1

The last letter of puzzle text was being omitted in certain screens if it fell on the last letter position for the screen. As it happens, the last letter of every puzzle is a period (.) so not that big a deal. Fixed.
