TetriStation 2 is new version adding high resolution graphics, as well as sound effects.
TetriStation 2 is a pack of 18 different tetris-like games, with different blocks, shapes, strategies and logic. This is a real tetris jukebox! Some of the games are the all-time classics, some are completely new and untasted. In all games your goal is to keep the board from filling up as long as possible and get the highest score. There are six types of the game, all of them are available on three different shapes - rectangular, hexagonal and triangular shapes. Every shape brings some special tricks and different strategies of playing, so the same game on different shapes appears to be a set of three completely different games.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

"TetriStation 2" works on the systems based on PalmOS 4.0 and later platforms that support screen resolution 320x320 and 65000 colors: Sony Clie PEG-SJ30, PEG-T665C, PEG-T650C, PEG-NR70, PEG-NR70V, PEG-T600C, PEG-T615C, PEG-T625C, PEG-N770C, PEG-N760C, PEG-N750C, PEG-N610C, PEG-NZ90, PEG-NX70V, PEG-NX60.

This game works also under PalmOS 5.0 and later: Palm Tungsten T and others coming in the near future.

INTRODUCTION

You can learn to play "TetriStation" in a minute but if you want to win - you will need to try hard.

In all games your goal is to keep the board from filling up as long as possible getting the highest score. There are six types of the game: Tetris, Pentix, Columns, Picktris, Blocktris and Mosaic. All of them are alaivable on three different shapes - rectangular, hexagonal and triangular shapes. Every shapes brings some special tricks and different strategies of playing, so the same game on different shapes appears to be a set of three completely different games.

It's rather difficult to classify this game. This is surely a board game, it's puzzle (you have to think hard before placing pieces), it's a strategy (each player can choose his own strategy to score a great number of points). So, the genre of this game you can choose for yourself...

Try all the games and we are sure - you will find several games that suite your taste. This collection of games will keep you busy for quite a while.

To download "TetriStation 2", use the standard Palm DeskTop HotSync process or equivalent to install TetriStation.prc on your device.

Attention! For a perfect work of the game please install: for Sony Clie - TStationClie.prc, for PalmOS 5 - TStationOS5.prc.

PLAYING THE GAME

You can play "TetriStation" in six different games: TETRIS, PENTIX, COLUMNS, PICKTRIS, BLOCKTRIS or MOSAIC. All of them are alaivable on three different shapes - rectangular, hexagonal and triangular shapes. Each games contains three skill levels: NOVICE, EXPERT and MASTER.

1. TETRIS - the most classic game. Each piece in this game consists of four blocks. You can rotate the falling piece to make it more useful. When you build a line of blocks that goes from left side of the board to right one - that line of blocks disappear. More lines removed at once - more points you get. Game starts with empty board.

2. PENTIX - this is more advanced game, because here pieces contain 2-5 blocks. Other aspects of the game are identical to Tetris game.

3. PICKTRIS - At the beginning of this game you have partially filled board with some special blocks on it. In order to finish a level you have will have to remove all of these special blocks. Other aspects of the game are identical to Tetris game.

4. COLUMNS - This game is much different from the previous ones, because here you can't rotate the falling piece, but you can switch position of blocks within the falling piece. In this game your goal is not to build lines that go from left to right through the board, but to place blocks with the same color close to each other. When three or more blocks with the same color are placed together - they disappear. Note that two blocks are treated to be places together only if they share one common side.

5. BLOCKTRIS - There are no falling pieces in this game, so you can place the piece wherever you want, but you don't have the ability to rotate a piece. All pieces contain 1-4 pieces. If you build line of blocks that goes from one side of the board to another - that line of blocks disappear.

6. MOSAIC - In this game there are no falling pieces, you cannot rotate a piece, you can't even switch blocks positions within a piece, but you can place a piece wherever you want. In order to clear some space on the board you have to place blocks with the same color close to each other, and when three or more blocks come together - they disappear just like in COLUMNS game.

Splash screen

However good-looking it is, after a hundred launches you are going to be sick of the splash screen. That's why you can interrupt it, just pointing with stylus at any place on the board.

Window "Pick Game"

You can call Pick Game right from the game, clicking the PickGame button in "Menu" window. It also appears at first launching of the game.

PICKTRIS - select the picktris game
MOSAIC - select the mosaic game
SQUARE - select the aquare game grid
HEXAGONAL - select the hexagonal game grid

Window "Menu"

You can call Menu right from the game, clicking the button Menu on your device. It also appears at launching of the game.

CONTINUE - appears if you have an unfinished game.
NEW GAME - launches new game. Attention ! If the game is not finished it will be interrupted without any warning. Be careful not to lose your game. Also, there is option AUTORUN for game (see below)

OPTIONS - game options
HELP - here you can receive short help and information about us.
TOP 10 - here your best results, which you can publish on the net, are stored
BUY ME - information how to register the game (*)
REGISTER - the form for entering the registration info (*)
EXIT - to quit the game (you can quit the game clicking the button applications from any window of the program)

(*) - these items will be removed from the Menu after registration

One of the menu items is marked by triangular pointers. It means you to select it by pressing Jog Push key or Joystick Center key. To change marked menu item you can use PageUp/PageDown or JogUp/JogDown keys. To select any arbitrary menu item you can tap on it by the stylus.

Attention! All windows except the main one are dialogs. You can leave them using buttons OK - and CANCEL - . Also you can use Jog Push / Joystick Left or Center as OK action, Jog Back / Joystick Right as CANCEL action

Window "Effects"

There is a possibility of slow run on 33 MHz processor devices. For run acceleration, you can set up as low or turn off graphics effects. Game and interface effects change independently. There are three modes of effect entrance:

OFF - all effects turn off (all windows appear and disappear right away)
LOW - minimum effects (windows appear and disappear with animation by symbols)
HIGH - all effect turn on

Also you can change effects in the "OPTIONS" window. This window will appear every start of the game. To turn off this window, set up flag DO NOT SHOW AGAIN. You can to turn on it again in "OPTIONS" window.

Window "Options"

You can set up your preferences in the window "OPTIONS". To change the option's value, just click the appropriate option name

SKILL LEVEL - here you can change the game level (novice, expert, master) (*)
SOUND - here you can enable or disable the sound
MUSIC - here you can enable or disable the background music(**)
VOLUME - here you can tune the sound volume (low, medium, high)
EFFECTS - here you can change the interface effects (off, low, high).
EFFECTS REMINDER - turn on/turn off appearing of effects window on the every start of the game.
AUTORUN - the option that allows you to start the game without the splash screen and menu (after the program launching you go directly to the playing field) (*)
DEFINE KEYS - to call the dialogue window to change the keys (see below).

(*) - these options are active in the registered version of the game. (**) - these options are available on the SONY CLIE devices only.

You can change the keys to your taste just tap with the stylus the button of the actions:

LEFT - move to the left
RIGHT - move to the right
ROTATE - piece rotation or cyclical change of the block color (in Columns game)
DOWN - move to the down
DROP - drop to the down
MENU - to call Menu, you can use this action for Pause
DEFAULT KEYS - to set the default control definition

JOG UP - select action for Jog Up key
JOG DOWN - select action for Jog Down key
JOG PUSH - select action for Jog Push key
JOG BACK - select action for Jog Back key (this options is not available in PEG-S300)

Actions for 5-way navigator keys on PalmOS5 devices (excluding Sony CLIE)

JOYSTICK LEFT - select action for left navigator key
JOYSTICK RIGHT - select action for right navigator key
JOYSTICK CENTER - select action for center navigator key

For JogDial/Joystick you can select on of following actions: NONE, LEFT, RIGHT, ROTATE, DOWN, DROP or MENU.
Be attentive, saving the new setting is possible only when you set up all playing keys.

Window "TOP 10"

You can look at best game results in this window.

TETRIS/PENTIX/COLUMNS/PICKTRIS/BLOCKTRIS/MOSAIC - this button displays the results for different game types
NOVICE/EXPERT/MASTER - this button displays the results for different skill levels
PUBLISH - this button opens the window with the code for publishing the best result on the Web

Window "PUBLISH"

Shows the information needed to publish the best result in the chosen level on the Web. Attention! Please be careful when filling the code in the publish form at our site.

Window "Help"

To see the next page in the help you can tap 'NEXT' button or press PageDown/JogDown key.
To see the previous page in the help you can tap 'PREV' button or press PageUp/JogUp key.

Window "BUY ME"

It contains the information about where and how you can register the game. This window appears also as the reminder in the course of the game, with growing frequency.

Window "REGISTER"

Enter your license information into the form: fill First and Last names into the first and second lines, respectively, and the license code into the last one. Two NAME fields has room for 12 characters each, including spaces; if your name, or surname, is longer just stop when no room is left, the registration code will still work. Using the virtual keyboard or digitizer, you can enter letters, digits, a period, a dash, a space and a commercial at. You can choose the line tapping it with the stylus, the cursor (a blinking dash) will show the line where you are now. Also you can switch between edit lines by pressing PageUp/PageDown keys or JogUp/JogDown. When you begin typing, the prompts (FIRST/LAST NAME, REG CODE) will disappear.
Typing is done by means of the virtual keyboard, where the special buttons mean:

SPACE - space symbol
BSP - backspace (deletes of the symbol before the cursor)
CLR - deletes the whole line
