Owner is a Palm OS application that brings up the "Owner" Palm preferences form. If your Palm OS device is lost and then found by an inexperienced Palm user, then this is an easy method (for inexperienced users) for finding the owner preference form. Owner is named with a space (" ") at the beginning of the name so that it will show up as one of the first in a list of applications.

I. Installation

Installation of Owner is just like any other Palm program.

II. System Requirements

Requires Palm OS 2.0 or greater. 4 Kbytes of free memory on the Palm OS device is required.

IMPORTANT: If upgrading from version prior to 1.10 of Owner, then remove version it from your Palm OS device before installing this version. Failure to do so will cause some problems since the name has changed.

Simply click on the Owner icon to bring up the owner preference form.

• 1.10 (11/14/2006)
  • Changed the icon name from "-Owner-" to "- Owner -" (dashes and spaces instead of just dashes in the name). This looks better and keeps the icon at the top of list in launchers. As this name has changed you will need to uninstall the previous version of Owner to avoid conflicts.

  • Removed the color HandEra icons since there will never be such a device, and all they were doing was wasting space.
  • Changed support e-mail address.

  • Now includes high resolution icons for Palm OS 5 devices.

  • Now fully supports the HandEra 330, which includes larger icons.
